Quick question

If you had to choose, would you get;
1) a digital camera so you can take countless pictures of random stuff, and post them on the internet; or
2) an ipod so that when you start training in the gym and outside the gym you have music to keep you company?
Oh the dilemas!!

PS. Anyone who wishes to slate the Ipod please provide links to an alternative and reasons why this is better, because saying it's crap is not productive!

Personally, I'd buy a digitcal camera, as Ipod/Mp3 players can be obtained fairly cheaply elsewhere (certainly you can get a cheaper one than the ipod).

I don't like Ipods. The controls are difficult, the in-built batteries last for about 18 months and can't be replaced, and apple have a habit of being a company that screws customers over.

Two recommendations are the sony bean, which is cheaper, quick to recharge and looks cool (plus doesn't have those white heaphones, so you don't suffer from "ipod association", and the creative zen. More expensive, but creative have made a business out of sound technologies (most computers sound cards are either made by them or derived from them), and my mate in work swears by them. However, rick had one and it broke within two weeks (though he did take it to the leeds festival).

Digital camera. Never underestimate the power of being able to photograph your own arse.

Wow tough dilemma, I would agree with Rhys and Ally as being able to photograph countless drunk moments not only helps you peice together exactly what happened the night before but allows others to share in the amusement. This will prove pretty priceless sometimes. :) You can get some pretty cheap alternatives to the iPod from Dixons, something like a 1gb mp3 player for 50 quid which isn't bad.

Yeh I'm thinking the digicam tbh. And ally makes a great point about photographing your own arse. I don't know who would want to look at it, but knowing that I CAN would be cool. haha.

Well I've got an Ipod, and it's never failed me yet. Depends how much use you'll get out of them I guess. I use my Ipod at least a couple of hours everyday, so for me it was well worth the extra cost, but if it's not going to get used everyday you're better off with a digicam
